Artist Statement:
"I Am Light is a meditation on resilience and the quiet power that rises from within. Set against a luminous and unassuming sky-blue background, the painting is layered with splatters of watercolor, acrylic, and ink. It is a wildflower garden alive with movement. Pink and magenta blooms dance in the foreground embodying joy and an ease of existence. Among them, a single flower dusted in gold fleck stands apart symbolizing the act of creating your own light when you have nothing else. There is a collage element featuring the typewritten words “I am light” which anchors the piece in affirmation. This piece invites the viewer to remember that even amongst brighter circumstances, light is something we cultivate within ourselves."
Proceeds from this purchase help fund the costs associated with sending a Card of Hope to a mother of traumatic birth who has requested one.
