Prints: This image is printed on archival-grade paper. We use Sunset Hot press Smooth Bright white 300gsm 100% cotton rag and are acid free. Unframed prints include a 1/2" white border and easily fit in stock frames from retailers like Amazon, Michael’s or Hobby Lobby, etc. 

Matboard: If ordered, matboard comes in Smooth White B222 (standard core) mat with standard backing board. Outer dimension of matboard measures 14x11".

Artist Statement:

"This watercolor piece explores the transformation of motherhood. A richly layered purple background creates depth and movement, reflecting the emotional complexity that lives beneath the surface. Emerging from it is a single, dominant sunflower, rendered in warm golden tones with intricate black ink detailing that draws attention to its strength and structure. The sunflower stands as a symbol of becoming. It is rooted yet reaching, resilient yet evolving. Across the piece, typewriter-style text reads: “I am becoming.” These words hold space for the ongoing process of rebuilding oneself in motherhood as it is a continuous act of creation."

Proceeds from this purchase help fund the costs associated with sending a Card of Hope to a mother of traumatic birth who has requested one.
