Artist Statement:

"Surrounding the note are poppy flowers, a symbol of resilience. In this work, resilience is not loud or triumphant, it is simply lived. It appears in showing up when exhaustion runs deep, in learning the language of advocacy, and in loving fiercely in a world that does not always make space for difference. The poppies embody this quiet strength: steady, determined, and enduring. Among them is a single golden poppy bud. Small and not yet fully opened, it does not command attention, but it glows. This bud represents hope; the honest kind that exists alongside grief. A hope that does not erase hardship, but lives beside it, reminding us that something beautiful can still grow here. Hope does not always arrive fully formed. Sometimes it is only a flicker—a moment of light you notice only if you pause and look closely."
