"Hope on the Horizon" - April's Card of Hope

"Hope on the Horizon" - April's Card of Hope

When I ventured to create my 2024 "Symbols of Hope" Series, I really wanted to branch out with new imagery more than butterflies. My newest piece is titled "Hope on the Horizon" and served as the image for April's Card of Hope. As you may have seen with my past work, I love the beauty, strength and symbolism of birds and really wanted to get the message of hope demonstrated with a single image of a beautiful eagle with a confident wingspan dominating a cold, wintery forest.

Artist Statement, "In my wintry, snowy forest painting, shades of blues and hints of cobalt evoke serenity. The solitary eagle soaring in the background symbolizes freedom, strength, and the power to rise above challenges. Each small drop of cobalt and purple represents moments of tranquility and introspection amidst the vastness of nature, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty and resilience of the natural world. Through this scene, I hope to convey a message of hope, reminding viewers that even in the coldest of winters, there is always the promise of brighter days ahead."

This painting served as the image on April 2024 Cards of Hope. Proceeds from all purchases help fund the costs associated with sending a Card of Hope to a mother of traumatic birth who has requested one.
